During March 2022, Zara, Samaira and Nirajan from Grade 6 participated in the nation-wide science hack competition, conducted by IIT Tirupati hackathon, and recently the results were published. In the Grade 6 to 8 class, Samaira got first place, Zara got second place and Niranjan got third place for their Physics science projects. We got a hold of Zara to learn more about her project and why people should feel safe when getting on the rides of a Theme Park.

In Zara’s project she did her project under the topic ‘How Orsted's, Faraday's and Lenz's Laws Come to the Rescue at the Theme Park Rides’, exploring how Osted, Faraday and Lenz laws are used in the theme park rides and in real life. She does this by exploring and describing electric science going back to the 1820s and moving forward to the 1830s, while carrying out physical experiments to witness the relevance applications.

When Zara has presented and explored the scientific history, she describes and reveals how all modern day Theme Park ride visitors have been rescued by historical scientists. To demonstrate the great progress, Zara created a miniature version and shows why people can safely visit the Theme Parks and get on the rides that will stop via magnetic safe stops.

The students are part of a small coding and robotics club, the ‘ZAS Academy’, where they are engaged passionately to become brilliant at their work.
