PRIMARY YEARS TEACHER

(Opening for Academic Year 2024-25)

With a strong reputation for excellence, the Primary at TISB is one of the school’s many strengths.

Our aim in the Primary Years is to provide children with the very best education and support to deepen and nurture their interests, within an environment that is welcoming, safe and happy. We believe that learning is for life and that the learner is at the heart of everything we do. The children are encouraged to be active and to learn in cooperation with others.

We are fortunate to have an enthusiastic team of teachers who are there to support children during their learning journey with us. It never ceases to amaze us how much the children achieve as they move from Pre-kindergarten through to Grade 5 – how much they grow, not just physically but emotionally as they develop their whole character.

In the Primary Years, we feel that we lay important foundations for the young adults that TISB children go on to become and that we have an integral part to play in the character development of all our learners. Our Primary Years values are imbedded into all areas of learning with a deliberate focus on how to grow as a person. The Primary Years students learn ‘how’ to learn as we build the skills needed for the later phases of life.

The successful candidate will be expected to be proactively involved in many areas of school life and work collaboratively as part of the team.

TISB was founded in 2000 and is an international boarding and day school set in 140 acres of stunning grounds on the outskirts of Bangalore. Throughout its 22-year history the school has delivered consistently high academic standards in both IB and IGCSE and strives to combine traditional values with a modern, global approach to life and learning. Some of the top performers at IB have been with us since primary, so we can see the impact of learning skills imbedded at a young age in our Primary Years section.
