Pastoral Care

Pastoral care in PY focuses on cultivating an environment that supports the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of every student.

We believe every child is unique, as are their needs.  Our endeavour is to enable each student to thrive, grow and realise their full potential in all aspects of their education and overall development.

Pastoral care is given a high priority with class teachers working closely with specialist teachers, the Pastoral Co-ordinator and parents to ensure every child is safe and happy. 

In PY, we believe in the power of positive and frequent praise for good and caring behaviour. We want students to enjoy life and be happy and aim to achieve this through the teaching of our Primary Years Values. 

We believe that it is important for the child to excel not just academically but also built on developing a strong value system and life skills that will prepare them for the challenges in a fast-changing, modern world. Providing a supportive and conducive environment for children to try out things without any fear or hesitation is what we constantly strive for.
