Mr Rabi, PE teacher and passionate cyclist, was born and raised in Assam where he found his love for the King Chili, or “Bhut Jolokia”. In Guwahati, Mr Rabi completed his 4-year bachelor’s degree from LNIPE, before moving on to do his master’s degree in Physical Education at LNCPE in Kerala, and when graduating in 2016 he has been teaching Physical Education. We reached out to Mr Rabi to find out more about his passion for PE and recommendations for planning smart New Year’s resolutions.

I am very happy to be part of the TISB family – Mr Rabi, PE teacher and IAYP Award Leader

Mr Rabi joined TISB in August 2019, and is at his third year in the TISB family. “Being here at TISB for 3 years, I am excited about the way that teaching and learning takes place in the school. I love TISB because of the school’s culture which makes students feel at home”, says Mr Rabi who is passionate about his roles as a sports teacher and IAYP Award Leader. “I can motivate my students to improve their fitness and to give back to their communities”, says Mr Rabi, who is looking forward to the upcoming IAYP work in the near future, and seeing all students achieve their Bronze, Silver and Gold IAYP Awards.

During the COVID pandemic, whilst being online and doing distance learning, Mr Rabi has been passionate about encouraging students’ wellbeing. “I am proud of the work done by my students during this pandemic to maintain their health and fitness”, says Mr Rabi, who has a suggestion for the upcoming year: “My suggestion to my students is to start a fitness challenge; it can be done daily, weekly or monthly. Taking the support of classmates, friends and family members can also be very beneficial.”
