Get ready to read more news and participate! Ashna and Bhavikaa are the new and great Public Relations & Communications Prefects, who both represents student aspects and their own passion. They both feel that communication is a central way for students to present their incredible initiatives, contributions and work done – at school and outside of school. We reached out to Ashna and Bhavikaa to understand their vision and perhaps get advice for the future.

Please share your stories with us! We would love to read them – Ashna & Bhavikaa, PR & Communications Prefects

The main reason to encourage students to take part in the news flow is that it offers a good way to spread their words and ideas, both in the longer news and on social media. “I believe that students are doing such incredible work and using the TISB network they can expand their outreach to create a much greater impact”, says Ashna, who will encourage and help others to stimulate initiatives within or outside of the school. “It’s a great way of getting inspired and inspiring others”, says Bhavikaa, who believes that it is a way to motivate others to join the initiatives, or perhaps even different movements.

Through the news cycles, stories are first created with deeper detail on the website, and then presented through social media, giving students, teachers and parents awareness of current events and activities that are taking place at the school. It also goes further and has more characteristics than just ordinary academics. “It is important to share your stories with the community to inspire other students especially juniors”, says Ashna, who would like to see all student projects represented on the website and social media.

This also goes for all activities undertaken in after-schools clubs and outside of the school, where the news and information may increase awareness and participation in activities. “Whether it's an Olympiad, a project or a tournament, please share your stories with us!”, says Ashna, who would love to read them. “Sharing even the smallest achievements you have made over the years would not only help boost your self-esteem, but also motivate you and others to continue making a change”, says Bhavikaa, who along with Ashna are looking forward to the next term and everyone's stories.
