A Bangalorian with roots in Tamil Nadu, Ms Grace studied her Bachelor Degree in Medicine at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) in Bangalore. After graduating, she worked at a hospital for about six months, before realising how much she enjoyed when and how someone picked up on something she was explaining. This made Ms Grace switch to education and being a teacher, and she has not looked back since. We reached out to Ms Grace to find out more about herself and what she enjoys most about her work.

I can't wait to experience all the highlights of physical school, things like outdoor lessons, class trip, and Vivum – Ms Grace, Science Teacher, Coordinator IAYP

Being a Science teacher at TISB for about 18 months, Ms Grace is a very meticulous, positivistic and cheerful individual, someone who is proud of her work with “giant color-coded excel sheet that helps me plan my week. What can I say, I've always been a nerd!” Living on campus, Ms Grace feels extra good about the campus grounds. “There's enough room to keep mind and body healthy and enough beauty to keep the soul at peace”, says Ms Grace, who is also passionate about music and was part of the previous campus choir.

School coming back to physical reality is very important to Ms Grace, who cannot wait to experience all the highlights of physical school, such as outdoor lessons, class trips and Vivum. “The richness of the school experience comes from all the "extras", the jokes, the relationships you forge and the non-academic lessons you learn”, says Ms Grace who is one of the coordinators of the IAYP programme at TISB. “I'm looking forward to having all these, minus the awkwardness of the online medium.”
