This year Siddharth from Grade 6 took part in the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) and their Talent Search, both in the Mathematics and Verbal categories. Being one of 19,000 students from 84 countries, he was rewarded with the CTY High Honors Awards as one of the brightest students. The Johns Hopkins CTY identifies advanced students from around the world and provides a clear picture of their true academic abilities. We reached out to Siddharth to find out more about his achievement.

I am happy to have been selected with High Honors – Siddharth, Grade 6

Being thrilled about challenging problems in Mathematics, Siddharth decided to take part in the Johns Hopkins CTY and the Talent Search. “Students who were selected could take a perfect blend of courses across multiple subject areas that were extremely interesting”, says Siddharth, who pushed himself forward to develop his skills.

During the Talent Search Siddharth got to take part in both Mathematics and Verbal language tests. “The test itself was not very hard but the setup was very stressful”, says Siddharth, who took part in the tests online.

Being among the students selected with recognition of High Honors, Siddharth sees this as an opportunity to take some fun courses, such as Cryptology-Math and Codes, Amusement Park Physics, Fantasy Worldbuilding through the application of Geography, Cartography and Anthropology. “I hope I get to spend the summers on their Campus attending live classes exploring interesting topics outside of the school core curriculum”, says Siddharth.
