New annual Prefects for the coming year, 2022-2023, have been reviewed and selected. The positions range from representative Head Boy and Head Girl, Boarding representatives and different school initiatives, to the four TISB houses. Although new to these Prefect roles, the students are both excited and committed to contribute to their school and fellow students of all ages. Below follows the students’ initial and individual reflections.  

Head Boy – Shrey  
“It is an honour to be appointed to such a prestigious role. The position comes with its responsibilities, duties and expectations, and it is an ecstatic feeling to be achieved the Senior Leadership Team's trust. I am delighted to have a chance to give back to the family at TISB who have made me who i am today. One thing I am eagerly waiting for, is to come together as a grade and conduct the best VIVUM and an energetic sports day. Events like these that bring us all together mean a lot to me, especially now that I get to be a significant part of organising them.” 

Head Girl – Rewa  
“I am inspired, ready and thrilled to be in this position of responsibility and honour. I am eagerly looking forward to bringing to you the best VIVUM. No limits, just opportunities. It will be one to remember and a blast guaranteed!” 

Head of Boys Boarding – Jihwan  
“As a person who has been in boarding since 7th grade, this feels like the perfect opportunity to give back and show appreciation to the boarding community.” 

Deputy Head of Boys Boarding – Indrasena 
“It is an honour to have received this opportunity to represent my community as the deputy head of house. I am extremely excited to work with the other prefects, students and the management, and I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the TISB Community. GO TROJANS!” 

Head of Girls Boarding – Vaibhavi 
“Hey everyone! I am thrilled to be given the opportunity as Head of Girls Boarding, I cannot wait to continue to make boarding a safe, loving, and fun community for all, and also work together with the entirety of the prefect body to make this year a memorable one.” 

Deputy Head of Girls Boarding – Mahika  
“I feel honored to have received the role of Deputy Head of Girls House.  I'm really excited to work alongside my fellow prefects and engage with the school community to make sure that 2022-2023 is one of the most memorable years for TISB.” 

Social Service & Charities Prefect – Dhruv  
“I'm incredibly grateful to be the Charities Prefect, and I look forward to working with the SLT and Students to enrich the TISB Community, contribute charitably, and assist student-led Non-profits.” 

Social Service & Charities Prefect – Devansh 
“Hi! I am Devansh and I am going to be the Social Services and Charities Prefect for the year 2022-23. I am looking forward to taking up this role and I hope, in doing so, I will be able to positively affect not only the school, but external communities as well. Thank you!” 

Public Relations & Communications Prefect – Ashna 
“Hi I'm Ashna, and I am so excited to be a PR and communications prefect this year. I am looking forward to being a part of the team and being an approachable leader. One of the things I am most excited about for this position, is to help propagate student-led initiatives to the entire TISB community.” 

Public Relations & Communications Prefect – Bhavikaa 
“It’s great to be serving as the Public Relations and Communications prefect for the upcoming academic year. I'm looking forward to being a part of the student council and representing the student body for visitors!” 

MUN Prefect – Aditya  
“It is a true honor and privilege to be one of the MUN Prefects for the upcoming academic year, Model UN is the beating heart of our school's debate community, and Rohan and I greatly look forward to taking MUN at TISB to bold new heights this year.” 

MUN Prefect – Rohan  
“I’m really excited about my role as MUN Prefect for 2022-23. Model UN is an important part of our school community and something I’m deeply passionate about – I look forward to working with my colleague and friend Aditya on ensuring this year’s TISBMUN is our most successful yet.” 

Primary Years Prefect – Sreshta  
“I am grateful to be able to serve as the PY Prefect this year to create a fun environment where the voices of the youth at TISB will be heard and understood.” 

Primary Years Prefect – Saketh 
“Determined to create a congenial growing environment for energetic students!” 

Performing Arts Prefect – Mehak 
“I am extremely excited to be the performing arts prefect and have always been passionate about the creativity and freedom that arts hold. I look forward to spreading the beauty of this subject and working with all of you!” 

Performing Arts Prefect – Shravan 
“Hi everyone! I'm Shravan, one of the performing arts prefects for this year (alongside Mehak) - I'm incredibly excited to share my love for art with as many of you as I can. Let's start this year off on a high note!” 

IAYP & CAS Prefect – Camelia 
“My goal as an IAYP and CAS prefect is to find ways to make IAYP and CAS more enjoyable, fun, loving and an activity that we're passionate about, something more to us than just an IB checklist. I am sure my experience in community service over the years will help me reach my goal!” 

IAYP & CAS Prefect – Urshita 
“Hi everyone! One of my biggest passions is to give back to the community which is why I am beyond thrilled to be working as the IAYP/CAS prefect in the upcoming academic year.” 

College Counselling Prefect – Ameya 
“I feel honoured to be chosen as the college counselling prefect this year, and I am looking forward to working with the current prefect body and the college counselling department. As the college counselling prefect, my role will involve liaising with the college counselling department at TISB in organising university fairs and to take on a peer mentoring role by participating in college counselling workshops for younger students. I will also be responsible for coordinating and managing the career professional panel and hosting the TISB Alumni sessions, whilst encouraging my peers to maintain a collaborative atmosphere during the admission period.” 

College Counselling Prefect – Diya  
“Hi! My name is Diya. I am very excited to be working as the college counselling prefect this year to make students’ application process as smooth as possible. I look forward to collaborating with the college counselling department and helping students on their journey!” 

Discoverers – Shubh  
“It is an honor to have this responsibility in a school and which I have grown up in, and is a dream come true.” 

Discoverers – Tanishqa 
“Hello! I am incredibly grateful for being granted the opportunity of becoming the Discoverers House captain and I look forward to motivating the house members into always working up to their best potential to make our house proud.” 

Explorers – Abhi 
“I feel a great sense of pride and honour in being appointed as the new house captain for explorers and look forward to the different challenges that come with taking on the role. I know that it isn’t going to be an easy task and so I aim to bring the greatest level of devotion and enthusiasm to my position.” 

Explorers – Diya  
“Hi, I'm Diya! I'm honoured to be one of the Explorers house captains. I'm really looking forward to helping foster school and house spirit in my peers and juniors, and helping them showcase their talents in inter-house events.” 

Pioneers – Juhun 
“I am truly excited to represent the house of Pioneers. I would like to communicate and interact with everyone and compete with house spirit.” 

Pioneers – Brinda  
“My name is Brinda and I am the house captain for pioneers. It will be a challenge since this is the first offline sports day after a long time, but I am excited to work with this talented community. Hopefully, everything goes well and we emerge victorious.” 

Voyagers – Saksham 
“As Voyagers Prefect, I am excited to work with all the members of my house. I look forward to leading and encouraging everyone across the events, so we can get back to where we belong - the top of all houses.” 

Voyagers – Aarna 
“I am so grateful to be Voyagers House Captain this year! I look forward to leading Voyagers in a bold new direction, and creating fond memories with my house this year.”
