On Saturday May 7, the TISB U15 football team managed to pick up missing competitive elements. Although they were ready and had prepared to visit and participate in the cup in Goa, due to lack of enrolled teams the Goa Super Cup was cancelled. However, to keep the spirit up and continue practices, Mr Tarun managed to arrange and host a practice match with Roots Football Academy Bangalore. We interviewed Mr Tarun to find out more about the match, as well as future plans and ambitions.

As schools are getting back to normal, we will get back to our earlier system – Mr Tarun, Head of the P.E. Department

The practice game where TISB’s U15 took part of, they won by 5-0. But the score did not reflect the opponent team’s true strength. Their teamwork was very good; movement on the field was great and some boys had great skills. “It's just that they were smaller in size in comparison to our boys”, explains Mr Tarun, and how they were losing with pace whenever overhead balls were played.

As there is only about a month remaining for this year in school, the football teams will concentrate mainly on playing more practice matches. “As schools are getting back to normal, we will get back to our earlier system”, says Mr Tarun, who is really looking forward to getting physically active in matches and cups all over India. “We will organise our own Trojans cup for all category students to participate, PY, MY and Seniors”, says Mr Tarun. “Then we at least participate in three to four inter-school tournaments in a year in different categories.”
