Application Procedure

We hold ourselves to a high standard of effective recruiting practices with specific attention to child protection. All applicants are subject to a rigorous screening process that includes verification of qualifications, obtaining two supervisory references (including current employer's) and obtaining current and previous Police Checks. For the majority of positions, initial video interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams.  Any employment gaps in CVs will be addressed during interview.

GOLF COACH

 

Job Type: Part-time (2–3 days a week) or Full-time Teaching Position

Location: TISB, Whitefield, Bangalore
Grade Levels: 3 to 12
Report to: Head of PE Department, Senior Leadership Team & Board of Governors

The Golf Coach is responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive golf program that fosters skill development, sportsmanship, and competitive excellence among students of all levels, including the extra-curricular pursuits of the school boarding community.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:

  • Certification in golf from a Professional Golfers Association
  • B.P.Ed. degree with First Aid and CPR certification will be an added qualification
  •  2-4 years of experience coaching students at a professional level
  • Strong understanding of golf, including swing mechanics short game techniques chipping, pitching, putting and strategy
  • Ability to explain concepts clearly, demonstrate proper techniques, and adapt teaching to different learning styles
  • Proven track record to teach with patience and passion, provide feedback, and inspire a love of the game in students
  • Knowledge of biomechanics - how the body moves during a golf swing, ability to identify and correct flaws
  • Demonstrated experience in sports psychology – the mental aspect of golf, including focus, confidence, and dealing with pressure
  • Ability to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school through matches and competitions
  • A professional role model with strong communication, interpersonal and pastoral skills, who upholds the TISB Vision and Mission

Professional Development and the TISB Training Academy

The TISB Training Academy offers scholarship programmes and training courses to seek best practice, up-to-date thinking and professional development.

Ongoing training for staff is offered in a variety of ways throughout the academic year including the new staff induction programme, whole staff conferences and external training programmes and workshops.
