What is TISBMUN?

The International School Bangalore Model United Nations is a three day UN simulation for high school students that will be held in The International School Bangalore from the 10th to the 12th of January 2012.

The MUN culture has spread rapidly all over the world and India is no exception to this. At TISBMUN students not only from Bangalore but also from other parts of India and the world will have an opportunity to experience this culture for themselves and to learn about international relations at the same time.

For its inaugural session TISBMUN will simulate three different organs of the United Nations; the General Assembly First Committee - Disarmament and International Security (DISEC), the Economic and Social Council(ECOSOC) and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). In addition to this there will also be a unique fourth committee; a simulation of The League of Nations, where the delegates will be representing countries that were members of the League of Nations and they will get an opportunity to go back and visit the past and to change the history of mankind.
