Letter from the Secretary General

Dear Delegates,

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to the second session of The International School Bangalore Model United Nations (TISBMUN II) conference. The conference will be held at the TISB campus from the 15th of December to the 17th of December 2012. It is my goal to make sure that TISBMUN 2012 is the best MUN conference that you have or will ever attend. For its second session TISBMUN will offer simulations of four different councils from four completely different areas of knowledge. These include the General Assembly First Committee: Disarmament and International Security, the Special Political and Decolonization Committee, the Security Council, the World Health Organization and a very special Historical Committee.

A Model UN conference offers students an opportunity unlike any other. Where else can you learn skills such as public speaking, lobbying, debating and learn about international affairs at the same time? TISBMUN will see participants from not only Bangalore but from India and beyond. Thus, it is a truly global conference where participants will get an opportunity to meet new people and explore international relations. All this in three short but action packed days!

At TISBMUN there is something for everyone. So whether you are a Model UN veteran or a first- time delegate, I look forward to meeting you in December.
